Calm your mind and stretch your muscles during each long-held pose. Begin class with a short guided meditation and breathwork cues. Each pose is done either seated or lying down on the back or stomach. Yin yoga targets deep connective tissues, like fascia, ligaments, and joints. Increase flexibility, boost circulation, and reduce stress levels. Find support and relaxation with props like bolsters, blocks, and blankets while you enjoy an ambient playlist in a low-lit classroom.
Dress in comfortable layers, and bring socks if your feet run cold. The studio has a full set of yin yoga props, but please bring your own yoga mat. If you have a few choices, please bring a thicker mat with more cushion for yin class, as each pose is done seated or lying down. You are welcome to bring your own bolster and blanket to class if you prefer your own.
