Meridian yoga is a very transforming yoga practice that will help clear and release any blockages in the meridian channels. There are 14 meridian channels, (Meridian in Chinese medicine). These channels are directly associated with the organs in the body. The energy of these channels flows up and down, or from heaven to earth and earth to heaven. Unbalanced meridians can be caused by a multitude of things, emotional and physical stress, anxiety, fear, worry, etc. We use various yoga modalities to open and release these channels. The practice includes different types of yoga asana’s in combination with specific poses and breathing techniques, resistance stretching, and gentle pressure point massage to ignite the prana within and bring these meridians back into balance. Restoring and strengthening the flow of prana, or chi, (our life force healing energy) throughout the body. This gentle/slow flow energetic practice will leave you feeling connected, restored and more at ease with one’s self.
