Elk Rapids Yoga Flow
RYT 200Sarah has been practicing yoga since her college days and has found yoga to be an incredible tool to support emotional, spiritual, and physical well being through various life transitions. She completed the 200-hour registered yoga teacher (RYT) training in June 2024 at Yen Yoga in Traverse City where the eight-limb path of yoga was emphasized. She has completed certification requirements for Restorative yoga, Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, and Sound Healing. Sarah embraces yoga as beneficial and accessible to everyone. She strives to foster a positive and safe environment during yoga practice. She sees yoga as an opportunity to turn inward and practice self-care on the mat in a supportive community.During her professional career, Sarah practiced as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for 20 years at the University of Michigan, Division of Pediatric Cardiology. After completing her clinical doctorate (DNP), she was an assistant professor of nursing and directed the Pediatric Primary Care program at Wayne State University. These experiences have provided decades of knowledge and experience with physiology and biochemistry that support the ancient yogic practices.She recently moved to northern Michigan where she enjoys hiking, skiing, mountain biking and hanging out with her partner Joe, horse Jocko, and cat Ben.
