Elk Rapids Yoga Flow
Stephanie started practicing yoga during college, while studying neuroscience and speech-language pathology. After the pandemic, she returned to her yoga mat at the local climbing gym. In an effort to grow her practice, she found a yoga studio near Detroit: The Yoga Garden, LLC. Stephanie quickly fell in love with the heated, vinyasa flow. Not only did she notice the physical benefits, but she also felt inspired after classes. After a few months, she signed up for yoga teacher training. Stephanie maintained a daily practice and completed a 200-hour training in ashtanga and vinyasa flow. Despite injuries, she modified the physical poses and learned the deeper meaning behind the practice. This practice helps her build a stronger relationship with herself, others, and nature. After completing the training, she further developed her teaching skills through a mentorship program. Stephanie began teaching hot vinyasa and candlelight vinyasa classes. Throughout her ~2 years of teaching down-state, she created complex, intentional sequences and guided students of all experience levels. She encourages students to express themselves on the mat, through breath and movement. Stephanie embraces the mind of a student and hopes to continue her studies through further training. Stephanie moved to Traverse City in Summer of 2024. She found Elk Rapids Yoga Flow and valued the love, kindness, and strength of community. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her dog and in nature. She also enjoys baking and gardening.
