Elk Rapids Yoga Flow
Kerry has always loved living a very active lifestyle, and through the years has enjoyed a vast array of physical activities from Pilates and yoga to hiking, biking, running, horseback riding, and many things in between. During college, she worked at a fitness studio and taught aerobics, and for the past 10 years, has been an instructor at Modus, a bar-inspired fitness studio in Traverse City, Michigan. Recently, along with her husband Mike, Kerry embarked on the road to better mobility. Kerry, like many individuals as they age, started to notice that even though she was physically active, she was experiencing limitations in her range of motion, especially in her hips. As an avid equestrian, the tightness in her hips started to interfere with her ability to connect with her horse. Especially, with the beautiful style of horse training called dressage. She realized that if she wanted to continue, she needed to learn how to gain more flexibility. Recently, along with her husband Mike, Kerry embarked on the road to better mobility. She met with a physical therapist initially, and from there, attended and completed the Applied Functional Science certification through the Grey Institute in Chicago. Kerry will also be completing her 200-hour yoga teacher training through Yen Yoga in Traverse City, Michigan this spring, 2025. Kerry has taken all components from her various training disciplines to design a Mobility class that focuses on strength, balance, and increasing range of motion. She loves sharing with others what has worked for her, so we can enjoy moving and doing all the things we all love to do.
