An intro to basic aerial yoga inversions & a variety of standing stretches utilizing the hammock. We’ll cover modifications & tips to combat any dizziness that may occur. The workshop will conclude w/ savasana in the hammock. Although inversion exercises are beneficial for perfectly healthy people, they are not recommended for people with any of the following conditions or ailments: • High blood pressure/ Low Blood Pressure • Serious spinal or neck injuries • Glaucoma • Pregnancy • Heart conditions of any kind • Epilepsy *If you have one of these conditions, we require a doctor's note with permission to practice aerial yoga.
IMPORTANT: Students must wear shirts with sleeves - NO TANK TOPS. Students should remove jewelry before class. Students should make sure that fingernails do not have any sharp or jagged edges, that could possibly snag the silks. Please bring your yoga mat (mats available for rent). Do not eat a large meal in the three hours right before the workshop.
