Mars Hill Yoga Barn

Rose’s journey with yoga began in 2010 with basic flow classes at her local gym. She didn’t come to yoga looking for enlightenment—she came for the crazy shapes, stayed for the mental health benefits, and eventually built a whole retreat center in the Blue Ridge Mountains so others could feel that same spark.Since those early days, she’s made it her mission to understand why yoga is so healing—not just for the body, but for the nervous system, the soul, and the messy middle of real life—and to share that wisdom far and wide. After seven years of personal practice, she began teaching in 2017 and eventually became a certified yoga therapist, a Vedic astrologer, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Health and Wellness Promotion. Her studies weren’t just about learning more—they were about understanding how yoga heals, and how that healing actually sticks. Rose is devoted to helping people live their practice in real time—through grief, growth, grocery lists, and all—for those who want to embody their healing, not just during class, but in the way they show up to everything else.Rose’s classes are designed to help you feel strong, grounded, and at home in your body—whether you’re rebuilding after burnout, navigating a tough season, or just needing to move and breathe in good company. Her teaching blends functional strength and nervous system regulation with soulful, breath-centered flow. Expect high vibes, rocking playlists, laughter, and plenty of options to support all ability levels. Come to feel empowered, leave feeling relaxed and centered. In addition to teaching group classes, Rose offers yoga therapy, astrology readings, and micro-coaching containers for those ready to heal deeply or manifest a life aligned with their dharma. She’s especially passionate about helping people build the kind of embodied self-trust that ripples into everything—from relationships to business to creative expression. When she’s not teaching or dreaming up new ways to support healing in her community, you’ll find her playing in the woods with her blue heeler Rider, snuggling her two wild-hearted kids, or dancing barefoot in the kitchen with her husband in their Appalachian mountain home.
