About the Class

Yin Yoga is a passive style of yoga that incorporates longer holds [between 2 - 6 minutes] to release the fascia [connective tissues] and to quiet the mind. Yin is mainly done sitting or lying on your mat and is a complimentary practice to the more active styles of yang yoga (Bikram, Vinyasa) and for those who participate in high-energy workouts [Inferno Hot Pilates]. Practiced in a warm room, expect lots of slow stretching, deep breathing, and a focus on mind/body connection.   Class duration: 60 minutes.
