Amanda was 1st introduced to Yoga back in 1995. She's had a regular practice for over 20 years, been teaching for over 20 years, and has been teaching at Yoga Sanctuary for over 7 years. Having had been very actively involved in exercise, fitness and bodybuilding via healthy clubs, a fellow Yogi introduced her to Yoga and Meditation and it transformed her life. She has a background and various certifications in multiple styles of yoga including Ashtanga, Power Yoga, various forms of Hot Yoga and Bhakti Yoga. Her teaching has evolved to be focused on guiding the foundations of Yoga ~ the Basics. She finds it so rewarding to guide both people brand new to yoga, as well as though with a more seasoned practice. She loves remembering and reminding others of the importance of coming back to the basics, being true to YOU, honoring what the student needs for that moment for themselves, anchoring and finding joy and gratitude in the present moment, among other rewards that have come from the opportunities of teaching. Teaching is when she's truly present and it is the best part of her week. "Yoga heals me on various levels~Physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally. I love watching others reap the benefits of a consistent yoga practice."
