About the Class
Aerial Dance: Open Level Classes take the skills learned on a double-point hammock in all our Level 1 classes to new heights on a spinning, single point apparatus. Students learn more challenging floor choreography and begin to spend longer periods of time up in the sky linking beautiful shapes together in longer dance sequences. After leading a warm-up emphasizing strength, flexibility and alignment, teachers will offer choreography with options appropriate for a variety of skill levels so that students can all learn and progress together in an encouraging, empowering environment. Open Level classes are appropriate for students with some aerial experience looking to learn new skills, as well as more seasoned aerialists wishing to add more grace into their craft. Prerequisites: Attend a minimum of three Aerial Yoga Class at Om Factory or have equivalent experience with aerial hammock Safely invert with hammock at the sacrum without assistance or instruction Comfort with performing assisted pull-ups in good form Confidence with Front and Back Balances
