About the Instructor: Amanda McDonald has practiced yoga since she was a teenager (thank you Blockbuster Video), but got serious after moving to NYC to pursue a musical theatre career. She started taking yoga to feel good & stay fit, and found solace & calm. After realizing that she'd rather be at the ashram than on the stage, she moved to India to follow this path. She has been teaching full time since graduating from OFSY's 200-Hour Vinyasa Teacher Training in 2011. She has completed trainings at Studio Anya, Yogamaya, The Breathing Project, and Yoga Union. She considers herself incredibly lucky to have studied with such masters, and hopes she can share a tiny portion of the joy, peace, and clarity she has found with their help. She is a co-creator of OFSY's Aerial Yoga Teacher Training curriculum and continues to teach Aerial Yoga and lead trainings at Om Factory. Amanda loves the lessons yoga teaches us about life and enjoys seeing students win small victories and gain confidence both on and off of the mat.
