Reflexology is a complementary therapy based on the principle that specific points on the feet, hands, and ears correspond to different organs, glands, and other parts of the body. The underlying theory of reflexology is rooted in the concept of energy pathways or meridians that flow throughout the body, similar to those in acupuncture and acupressure. By manipulating the reflex points, reflexologists aim to balance the flow of energy and encourage the body to heal itself.

During a reflexology session, the practitioner uses their hands to apply pressure, massage, and manipulate specific points on the client's feet, hands, or ears. The pressure applied can vary from gentle to firm, depending on the individual's needs and comfort level. The goal is to induce a state of deep relaxation, reduce tension, improve circulation, and enhance overall energy levels.
