About the Class

Yin Yoga is based on the Taoist concept on yin and yang, opposite and complementary principles in nature.  Yin Yoga is a passive practice that focuses on the tissues closest to the core, holding poses 3-5 minutes.  The longer hold is designed to strengthen, lengthen and provide therapeutic release to joints, muscles, ligaments, fascia and other connective tissues.  Learn how to quiet your mind and open the deep tissues of your body with this meditative yoga practice. Yin is the perfect compliment to your more active (yang) yoga practice or gym workout. This beautiful Sunday evening class will help you wind down from your week and set intentions for a brand new week.  It is an all levels class and no prior experience needed. The room will be warm (not heated), the candles will be lit, and the music soothing to the mind and body.  Prepare to leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.   Namaste

Please bring yoga blocks, pillows, blankets, and/or bolsters that you may need during your practice.   Yoga blocks are limited at the studio.
