This nurturing class combines the beautiful qualities of a flowing yoga sequence, with the calming benefits of a yin practice. It begins with a slow & intentional warm up to move energy & open the body gently. The flow then shifts to stillness, as passive postures with longer holds are introduced. These long-held poses stress the connective tissue in a healthy way, which in turn strengthens & improves flexibility around our joints. It is deeply meditative, calming for the mind and will encourage release of all that does not serve us in the physical body and the mind. This 75 minute long class is perfect for any age or level student. This class is offered both Monday and Thursday mornings at 9:30 am and Tuesday evenings at 6:30 pm. Monday offered virtual. Props needed at home. Pillows can be substituted for bolsters, and books for blocks.
