I first met yoga in 2013 as a part of my gym workout. I am very grateful to my first teachers who showed me that yoga gives you way more than just stretching or fancy Instagram poses and had the patience to guide me through the phase when I was finding out. Just after a few months I knew I wanted to enroll in teacher training but back then my life was too busy and I was sure I wouldn't commit as much as I would like to. In 2018 I moved to East Tennessee and shortly after, the universe finally aligned and gave me the time and way to get certified as a yoga teacher with Downtown Yoga Center.When "everything went online" I had the opportunity to reconnect with my very first yoga teacher and obtain RYT 500 certification through training with Yogaprem Studio Barcelona.I like understanding yoga as a moment to connect with yourself, pampering your body and soul, as well as creating space to have fun and explore. In my classes I enjoy having time to melt into asanas and play with them.When I'm not on my mat, I like variety. You can find me paddleboarding, hiking, chasing waterfalls and exploring caves with my husband, engaged in events or programs that are helping animals or looking for an excuse to speak Spanish.
