Slow Flow for Strength is a slower pace class, mindfully moving and breathing while holding poses longer. This class allows time to explore the postures while cultivating strength, flexibility, balance, and calm. It is especially geared towards all practitioners who are looking to build muscle strength and focuses on a different area -- core, back body, arms, legs -- in each class. You will explore your edge, yet still feel relaxed and renewed when class is done.
A note about props: Props are helpful for enhancing stability, alignment, and accessibility in practice. They offer valuable support, providing safety, and allowing for the modification of poses to accommodate your anatomy. From modifying postures to promoting mindfulness, props are versatile tools that empower you to personalize your yoga journey. We recommend having blocks, a strap, a blanket (or two) and/or a bolster available for any class, although you may not need them for each practice. For Slow Flow for Strength, please also have two sets of weights, one light (1-2lbs) and one heavy (3-5lbs).
