Yoga Teacher
Bliss Yoga
Marsha discovered yoga in 2005 while healing from Complex Post Traumatic Stress. Trauma creates a dis-connect from body and emotions, and Marsha began to heal that dis connect on her mat. It was the perfect accompaniment to her personal therapy. As a psychotherapist, Marsha wanted to share the healing power of yoga with her clients and others. She trained at Studio Bamboo for her 200-hour certification. She later got certified in Mindful Yoga Therapy, which is designed specifically for healing PTSD. She has taught in Virginia Beach over the last 15 years. Marsha has also had extensive training in Vipassana meditation. She co-founded The Mindful Living Institute, teaching mindfulness and meditation in a variety of settings throughout Virginia and Maryland. She co-authored Mindfulness and Movement for Children, a social-emotional learning curriculum used in schools, daycare centers, and agencies. Marsha has a private psychotherapy practice in Virginia Beach, working with individuals and couples. When not working or on her mat, Marsha can be found enjoying her granddaughter, playing pickleball, or writing her book on transgenerational trauma. She is excited to be teaching at Bliss and becoming a part of this community.
