About the Class

Gain awareness of the history and philosophy of the Viniyoga lineage; discuss and practice traditional yogic pranayama techniques. Explore the principles of Viniyoga asana practice, learn classic Vinyoga vinyasas and apply the principles of Viniyoga asana practice to create breath-centric flows. Practice teaching a short Viniyoga flow to another participant in the training & enjoy an hour long Viniyoga practice led by Kathy. Discover the transformative power of breath through the lens of the Viniyoga tradition. In this immersive workshop, you’ll explore how conscious breathing and intentional movement work together to calm the mind, energize the body, and restore balance. You’ll be guided through traditional pranayama practices and breath-centered movement sequences designed to meet you exactly where you are. Along the way, you’ll gain insight into the roots and philosophy of Viniyoga, while learning how to adapt yoga to support your unique needs. This workshop also offers a hands-on opportunity to deepen your understanding by creating and sharing simple breath-led sequences in a supportive environment. We’ll close with a full, guided Viniyoga practice led by Kathy, leaving you grounded, clear, and connected.
