When I began my yoga journey in 2005, I was initially drawn to the physical benefits but quickly discovered the profound mental and spiritual benefits it brought to my life. Thirteen years later, in 2018, I made the decision to take Yoga Teacher Training not only to deepen my understanding of yoga but also to deepen my relationship with myself. It was here that I discovered my passion to teach and share my knowledge with others and to help them on their own path of self-discovery.
With a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a Masters in Social Work, I have dedicated my life and work to helping others improve themselves and those they love. My social work career has been both very rewarding and challenging and my yoga and meditation practices have been a foundation in grounding me throughout my career and my life.
My passion has always been and continues to be helping others find compassion for themselves and in turn compassion for others. I believe yoga is a beautiful practice in the art of compassion which can be expected as a theme in many of my classes. Together, we will create space for energy to flow and release through alignment based, hatha flow sequences as we invite in deeper states of self-compassion and self-acceptance.
