PREHAB with Maeve40fitness
Writing to testify how incredible Maeve40Fitness is.
About 6 months ago I decided that it was time to get my knee replaced. For 5-6 years I have been moving around in varying degrees of pain. And pain messes with everything.
Through self review and education, I found it would be important to be as strong as I could be rolling into surgery. So I asked Mackenzie to design a leg based strength program to send me off with a strong base.
We worked 3 days a month for 2 months with intensity. Mostly with kettlebells, free weights and bands. I worked out with her the day before my surgery.
Today is day 16 post surgery. I am walking, off medication for about a week, and bending my knee at 115 degrees. The standard goal of completion of PT is 125 degrees. I will get to 135.
I have to build my leg muscle strength back but I am building from 50 not from zero. That’s the difference. I use nearly every move she taught me to move around. I can quite literally get on and off the ground using the Turkish get up movements.
The body is an outstanding organ. If you treat it well it will reward you.
I highly HIGHLY recommend MAEVE40 Fitness for pre-HAB for all types of surgery. Your mobility, mentality, and outcomes depend on your preparation and planning.
