I've passed by this place numerous times and haven't stop in until now.  Everyone is very kind and reassuring since I haven't taken a martial arts class beyond one kickboxing class.  Definitely going to have sore arms tomorrow from all the blocking and punching.  I'm slightly uncoordinated too, so trying to move my feet, remember which arm is doing what and yell were a bit beyond me, but all the same my rotating partners and the instructor were very patient with me not withstanding.  Apparently Mondays and Wednesdays are better for beginners since they are less busy

I can tell this studio has many loyal returning students, not just walk-ins.  They took care in calling me the day of class to see if I had any questions and set the right expectations.   The focus is very much on repetition to build muscle memory.  Respect and cooperation is ingrained in the way the class is conducted.  You may not get a heavy cardio workout as a beginner, but you will surely learn something new and improve your form with every practice.
