While living and breathing (and embracing) New York City life, stress, and air for several years, Jess was ready for a change of pace almost 3 years ago. Pilates was never really on her radar in New York, working long hours at an advertising agency, and 'chasing' after her beloved 70-pound Basset Hound, Marty. Shortly after moving to Denver, Jess found herself not yet embracing the active 'outdoor lifestyle' she figured she'd fall into and, instead, in a car far too often, commuting. After putting on some weight and experiencing chronic neck and back pain, she finally listened to all the hype about Pilates and walked into Pilates Vita Denver for her first intro session. She was skeptical at first, having been used to 'quick fix' workouts like running and kickboxing. She gave it a few weeks and was hooked, taking about 3 classes per week for a year. After a year of incomparable results - from losing the 'driving to work' weight, trimming/toning in a way she had never experienced, and noticing far less neck/back pain, she truly believed in the Pilates Method. She spent hundreds of hours in the Denver studio, training with Master Pilates Instructor, and Founder of Pilates Vita, Inc., and completed all of her comprehensive and practical exams there. Jess continually take Pilates classes whenever she can, especially when visiting other cities, and is constantly studying both the classical and contemporary approach to Pilates so she can tailor each and every individual's experience to best help them, specifically to make them love it the way she does. Pilates has forever changed her life - from the way she stands to the way she deals with stress - and wants to help spread the benefits to as many people as possible!
