Balance Studio InstructorYoga - Hatha, Yin, VinyasaAshley’s classes are designed to align you with the rhythm of nature so that you feel more deeply connected to yourself and your surrounding environment. She’ll guide you in creating more mind-body awareness by taking you beyond the pose and incorporating meditation as well as breathing practices into her classes. Her goal is to demonstrate how yoga is available to you anytime, anywhere and for you to experience it not just as a way to move but as a way to live. After experiencing mental, emotional, and physical breakdowns while working in the construction and engineering industry, Ashley set out to find a new way to live and cope with stress. That's when she rediscovered yoga along with its sister science, Ayurveda, the oldest practiced medical science in the world. These two ancient sciences awakened Ashley to the realization that there is a way to promote healing and maintain health in a holistic way that is natural and logical. It wasn’t until Ashley transitioned into motherhood that she felt an obligation to share the wisdom of yoga and Ayurveda with others. Ashley has lived coast to coast and in many states in between before she landed in Colstrip, Montana, for nothing else but engineering. Living in this small community removed her from the commotions of the modern-day and granted her the opportunity to take her practice and studies even deeper by attaining her RYT-200 certification. In 2017, she relocated to Lewistown with her soon-to-be husband. They married and welcomed their baby boy into the world in 2018. With civil engineering on the back burner, she has since launched her own business, The Yogi Experiment, and obtained her Yoga Health Coaching certification. When she’s not on her mat, you can find Ashley volunteering throughout the community or out in nature doing various activities, such as gardening, hiking, biking, and skiing.
