I wasn't sure. I had gained some weight after a foot injury and was developing the typical 46 year old Dad bod. My neighbor committed to joining C-Fit and convinced me to try it. My personal trainer, Jacob, understood my goals and accepted the challenge as though they were his own. It was twice a week for one-on-one sessions and only 30 minutes each. Six months later, I've lost 12 pounds and I'm stronger and feel better than I ever have. I feel 20 years younger, like I could run through a wall. I joined the SPARTAN training group and met some incredible new friends. Great people. The gut is gone and I have muscle and tone that I never expected to have. I have friends that I'm proud to know. I absolutely freaking love C-Fit Studio and the people there. My only regret is not joining sooner.
JD has been doing Pilates for 20 years and teaching for 10 years. After completing a 600- hour apprenticeship program at Pilates at TR Dance Center, she started teaching at Gold’s Gym, Pilates at TR Dance Center and Norfolk Pilates in Norfolk, Virginia, and Performance Pilates in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Throughout the past 10 years, she has taught at Pure Joe in Reston, Virginia, and Washington D.C, Equinox in New York, New York, and Uptown Pilates in New York, New York. Her travels have let me take Pilates session from Santa Monica, California to Atlanta, Georgia. She hopes by spreading the method of Pilates, people can elevate their fitness goals to unimaginable levels, achieve a new sense of fitness knowledge, and recover from injuries, recent or old. No matter what personal, professional, and social tribulations have occurred, Pilates has always lighted her way. She is looking forward to guiding you through your own journey.
