Intro to Aerial Arts - Term 1 2021
Mar 3, 2021 - Apr 21, 2021

New to the world of Aerial Arts? This is a great place to start. The 8-week Intro to Aerial Arts class is a mandatory prerequisite for any Beginner level aerial class. It will focus on building strength and learning the fundamentals of Aerial Hammock, Silks, and Hoop. With an emphasis on technique and safety, this class will introduce you to basic positions, moves and climbs/mounts for each apparatus. It is a great way to try both fabric and bar apparatuses before choosing which to focus on. Don't let the belief that 'I just don't have the upper body strength,' or 'I'm not flexible enough' keep you on the ground. Those things will come with practice! Every ability is welcome. No previous aerial experience required!

Youth Introduction to Aerials (Ages 11-14) - Term 1 2021
Mar 6, 2021 - Apr 24, 2021

Is your preteen enchanted by the beautiful aerial acts they’ve seen performed in shows like Cirque du Soleil or in popular movies or pop acts? Now they can try aerial silks and aerial hoop for themselves. Aerials are a great way for youth to build strength, coordination, and confidence. Basic techniques and skills will be taught on both apparatus (silks and hoop). Class sizes will be kept small (a maximum of 4-5 students to one instructor). This class focuses on introducing the foundations of both apparatuses. First time students can register for this class. Note: due to restrictions from COVID-19 the class will switch from Hoop to Silks week to week and instructors will only provide hands on spotting in emergency situations.

Circus Play (Ages 7-10) - Term 1 2021
Mar 7, 2021 - Apr 25, 2021

Does your child dream of running away to join the circus? This is the class for them! Circus Play is an interactive play based class for children ages 7-10 that uses circus themed games and activities to get kids moving and learning body and spatial awareness skills. The class will be ground based utilizing sanitizable props such as spinning plates, juggling balls, devil sticks, and will also incorporate play on the aerial apparatus. Aerial apparatus use will be exploration based at low heights as instructors will not be able to spot students and skills will progress slowly to ensure student safety.
