National Karate & Tae Kwon Do Inc.

   National Karate has been in the Oklahoma City area since 1969. We offer services ranging from Kinder Karate programs for ages 3 to 5, Character development self defense sessions for children 6 to 12, Adult self defense and exercise programs such as Aerobic Kickboxing.       Our newest program, the After School Pick-up Karate Program, provides a service to the NW OKC area by working with area kids in our facility in a positive educational environment.      Our Martial Arts Creed “Honesty in the heart, Strength in the body, and Knowledge in the mind” embodies all the positive reinforcement that young people need today!       Jim Butin, a tenth degree black belt, is the owner of National Karate Inc.and is world famous! Jim has won over 150 awards in his competiton experience, including a silver medal in the FIRST WORLD TAE KWON DO CHAMPIONSHIPS in Seoul Korea in 1973, four national championships here in the United States, he was a member of the undefeated United States Karate team competing in Europe in 1974. he was rated #2 IN THE WORLD as a lightheavyweight kickboxer in the PKA from 1974 to 1978. Jim has won over 40 Black Belt championships in fighting competition! He recently was honored by the metro library system with his own “Oklahoma trading card” as one of the 20 greatest sports heroes in Oklahoma! Former Governor Keating proclaimed a “National Karate Day” in honor of Jim Butin's contributions to the community.      Come see the professional nature of our classes and the impact that we make every day with our childrens classes!
