Prior to massage therapy, Rita worked in the legal field for numerous years. Rita graduated from the Foothills College of Massage Therapy in Calgary, and has been a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) since 2002. Rita is trained in Shiatsu/Acupressure, Myofascial Release, Craniosacral Release, and has her Masters level as a full body certified Active Release Techniques Practitioner.
Rita is committed to remaining current in this health care profession by continuing education, expanding her knowledge base, and adopting new therapeutic practices. Using a variety of techniques, Rita provides stress and pain reduction, injury prevention, and deep tissue massage, with special interest in Active Release Techniques treatments.
Rita’s approach to massage therapy is by simply helping you to prevent injury, reduce pain and swelling in the body, relax the mind, increase flexibility, and dramatically improve your recovery time and in turn, promoting the body’s natural immune function.
Rita practices with a holistic and client-focused approach that values open communication between therapist and client.
In her spare time, Rita enjoys hiking, mountain biking, gourmet cooking and baking, and traveling.
