Ms. Verne Sparrow did my massage. The first thing she said to me was “you have a sitting job don't you”? I had so many knots in my shoulders and neck and I could barely turn my heard and my back was so painful. I'm amazed at her hands and how she worked through those places. I will be back in 2 weeks and 2 weeks later and do this until I retire, which I stop this sitting all the time. She was amazing. I can turn my head from side to side today and can't believe how much better I feel. I could not even cough without a lot of pain.
A proud Charlotte native, Phelicia Price moved to Greenville to attend ECU and currently teaches economics at Ashford University online. Her love for teaching and yoga brought her to the yoga teacher training program with Samantha Harrison Yoga in Greenville, NC for her 200-hour certification. She attended a 300-hour intensive for her advanced yoga teacher training in Costa Rica with Authentic Movements.
Phelicia looked to yoga for both her mental and physical health when faced with dialysis in 2015 and after a successful kidney transplant in 2016. Her passion for yoga spilled right over into her desire to educate individuals on preventative care and self-care with chronic illness.
She continues to be an advocate in the community for continued education on yoga and preventative care, knowing that those who practice yoga regularly are less likely to exhibit chronic mental and physical health problems.
