This was a wonderful lesson. I learned a lot about my vocal range. Thanks!
Jamielee Page, Mezzo-soprano, received both a Bachelor and Master of Music Degree from New York’s Purchase College. In addition to learning voice from soprano, Bonnie Hamilton while at Purchase, Ms. Page studied the languages of Italian, German, and French, as well as studying and performing three years of art song. Relishing in the opportunity to attend a “learn to perform by performing” university, most notable performed roles included Prince Orlofsky from Strauss’ die Fledermaus, Oberon in Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, La Madame de la Haltière in Massenet’s Cendrillon, and Mercédès from Bizet’s Carmen, to name a few. Ms.Page has performed as a soloist at the West Point Cadet Chapel and for dignitaries such as Governor Jeb Bush. Ms. Page believes in teaching that draws upon experience, and she frequently uses her time in New York to shape and accent a lesson with a student. She believes that compassion and positivity are the conduits to growth in music. Ms. Page is thrilled to be a teacher at the Orlando School of Music and is eager to help her students achieve their visions and dreams.
