She first practised Pilates in 2007 in Dublin and fell in love
with it. Fast-forward 10 years and three children later, she found
her way back to Pilates, a body she never had and a still
mind.
As a mother of three, she was overworked, tired, had back pains and
was battling the baby weight. So two months after giving birth to
her third child she started practicing Pilates again and could
instantly feel its effects; not only on her body and
fitness but also on her mind.
She lost the baby weight, got into a shape she never was in
before and for the first time in 20 years, she had absolutely no back pain.
Pilates also helped her get over the baby blues and overcome a
tough period in her life; for one hour she thinks about absolutely
nothing and no stresses and just focuses on herself.
She became a different person and became hooked.
Seeing how Pilates helped her psychologically and physically, she
wanted to help other women and mothers like herself and pass the
message along. So she took a course and started teaching privately
to her family and friends. She found it all very empowering to
share that experience with other women who might be suffering from
the same physical and psychological pains as hers and help them
overcome some of it.
Pilates works muscles you were never aware of, it develops
awareness of your body and muscles and strengthens your core;
something that she, as a mother, is most appreciative of.
