In these 4 Friday sessions, you will learn the history, philosophy, and practical application of traditional ashtanga yoga as its currently taught in its birthplace, Mysore India. Join Dean Hollingsworth, Dallas’ only Authorized Level II ashtanga teacher, as he guides you step by step in developing your own ashtanga practice specific to your body type, age, and safely navigating around injuries or limitations. Ashtanga yoga is a system of deep, conscious breathing combined with movement used to quiet the mind, keep the body healthy, and invites you connect with your innate spiritual nature through direct experiences in daily practice. Ashtanga can be practiced by anybody regardless of circumstance. If you can breathe, you can do yoga. Each week’s class will build upon the previous week’s instruction, giving you ample time to adapt to new concepts, sequences and techniques.
