Description
Join Heather Furtney for a 30 minute hip release followed by a 45 minute Yoga Nidra guided meditation. In the hip release we will work all ranges of motion in the hip joint, helping to unstick common tight spots. Our hips tend to become containers for our mental tension, so when the hips can release and relax, our minds and tensions can unravel as well. Once we are loosened up we will begin the Yoga Nidra portion of class where all you have to do is get comfortable laying down in savasana/rest and listen! Yoga Nidra is a practice of noticing, you aren't trying to change anything. Yoga Nidra puts you in that space between awake and asleep where deep relaxation can occur.
Class will be in the Treehouse, and cooled to about 75 degrees.
Bring a mat. We have bolsters, blankets and blocks to use to make a comfortable nest for the meditation portion of class.
