A Wellness Wednesday Event - NO Yoga Experience Needed

Come curl up in a dark, quiet room and regain your mid-holiday sanity. I’ll be leading a candlelit  guided group meditation for deep, energetic renewal - more than just rest - we’ll be tapping into a well of endless support and possibility… and give the mind a break from having to figure out all the things all the time. Reiki will also be offered individually (while you rest in meditation) to further clear and rebalance your system.

What is Reiki? Reiki is a gentle, nourishing healing practice that promotes deep rest and helps to rebalance the energy body by channeling Life Force energy through the practitioner to the recipient. It does not belong to any specific spiritual lineage, religion, or prescribed set of beliefs. It is a sweet, simple form of energy healing that allows the recipient to relax into their ease-iest, most authentic expression of themselves and their unique spiritual path. 

What does it feel like to receive Reiki? It is common to experience a sense of peace and calm relaxation. You may feel warmth, ease,  pulsing or tingling sensations in the body, or see colors and images in your mind’s eye. Many of my clients report feeling truly seen, held, and loved during their sessions. You may receive divine guidance or have “aha” moments where something that’s been troubling you becomes clear. Every individual is unique and therefore, so is every Reiki session. This candlelight meditation is a perfect chance to come experience it for yourself.

Investment is $20 Open to everyone. No yoga experience needed. We will be relaxing, so wear something comfy.  Bring a water bottle, a journal, and a mat (or rent one from the studio).

Lauren Venable has a BS in Psychology from LSU and is a Reiki Master and Yoga Instructor. She has been exploring healing work for 11 years and practicing Reiki for 4. In her practice, she uses a combination of energy healing and somatic meditation to help individuals and families cope with anxiety, depression, burnout, parenting, and the stress & pressure of everyday life.
