Are you ready to explore your yoga practice on a deeper level? SoulPlay’s 40 Hour Yogi Training This training is designed for yogis who want to learn more about the philosophical teachings of yoga, fine-tune their poses and develop a home practice. If you’ve been curious about taking a Teacher Training but aren’t really interested in teaching so you’ve held back, this is your answer! Yogi Training will enrich your understanding of yoga and what it means to take your practice off the mat and into your life. You’ll dive into the parts of yoga that you only that you only briefly hear about in class and discover the life-changing capacity of this 5,000+ year old tradition.
Beyond (and before) the movement practice, yoga is about finding balance and a sense of peace within yourself, and learning to move through the world in a more open, aware, honest, kind and loving way. This five week journey will invite you to look at your life honestly and propel you towards a deeper understanding of how you show up in the world and how you can do so with more joy, compassion and purpose.
The program is structured to give you a solid overview of key aspects of yoga but will largely be guided by what you and your classmates want to learn. Whether you’re interested in breaking down a particular set of poses or you want to incorporate meditation and breathwork into your daily practice, this program will give you the tools to bring yoga into your “outside life” and start to shift your way of being as you embrace your authentic self.
This training will guide and support you in your journey of Svadhyaya: self-study as you explore the personal transformation that is possible when you start to live the teachings of yoga. The SoulPlay Team holds a fiercely compassionate, safe and fun space for you to grow, learn and share.
