This course meets for 14 hours with lectures on the classic text, The Bhagavad Gita. We learn the history of the text, the story, and the great themes of the teachings. This course includes lecture, films, discussion, and personal projects to not only understand this great work, but to process and absorb the beauty and the divine wisdom embodies in the text. This course also explores how these teachings can be shared with others in a non-threatening way for easing mental disturbances and/or emotional distress - a portion of the program designed primarily for yoga teachers, yet valuable to all as we consider the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita as the answer to many of our societies stresses and sources of unhappiness as well.
