Reiki is first and foremost for self-healing. First Degree (Level One) Reiki focuses on self-healing, self-acceptance, and physical healing. Reiki can be used for yourself and other humans, food, medicine, the planet, plants, and animals. Like yoga, it is a wisdom tradition and pathway of living a balanced life. You will come away from this training with many tools to help you manage, balance, and clear your own energy and the ability to practice self-treatment. You will also learn the basics on how to offer hands-on healing for others, and how to use Reiki in everyday life.
You may choose to use Reiki only for self- healing, or you may decide to share it. Reiki is a wonderful compliment to other work with people or animals, such as a massage therapist, medical caregiver, family caregiver, vet or animal caretaker, teacher, therapist or counselor, and parent.
During the first- degree class, students receive four attunements, which are empowerment rituals delivered by a Reiki Master/teacher to amplify and awaken the Reiki energy within you. The effects of attunements are similar to those of a Reiki treatment. These empowerments are what make Reiki different from other similar energy healing modalities, and may have great impact on your life. This training is a blend of Usui Reiki, as well as Tibetan reiki.
Special Instructions
Each day will begin with morning breathing, meditation, and user-friendly chakra balancing yoga. There will be time at the end of our days to practice self-treatment, and treatments on each other. No previous experience with Reiki or yoga is required, though a general idea of what it is may be helpful
The class includes days of instruction, class manual, book, and certificate.
TO PREPARE FOR CLASS:
-Avoid eating red meat or consuming alcohol the night before class. Eat healthy foods and hydrate as much as possible in the days leading up to and during class!
-Avoid drinking excessive caffeine before/during class. (A morning cup of coffee is okay.)
-Get plenty of rest.
-Record any interesting dreams, synchronicities, or intuitive impressions in a journal.
-Wear comfortable clothing, and wear layers. Temperature changes are common throughout the day.
-Bring paper/journal and pen.
-Bring a special object that has significance to you- i.e. gems/rocks, pictures, jewelry, stuffed animal, etc.
