“Let's Mambo” with Benny & Ashley!

Baza Dance is pleased to welcome World Champion dancers Benny Ayala and Ashley Magaña (guest intructors from Seattle, WA) to teach these once a month 3-hour intensives for Intermediate and Advanced Salsa dancers.

Workshop Dates:
Saturday Oct 22, 3:00 - 6:00pm

Workshop format: 90 minutes Footwork / 90 minutes Partnerwork

*These workshops are for Intermediate and Advanced dancers and meant to be challenging, technical, and fun! We recommend dancers to have been actively taking class and social dancing Salsa for at least 1 year.

About Benny & Ashley

Ashley Magaña was born and raised in Los Angeles, California and has lived in Portland for 2 years. Ashley began her dance career with Grizzly Dance Company in Los Angeles and became a World Bachata Champion at the World Latin Dance Cup with the Company. However, now she is a professional Latin dancer as well as choreographer at Lines Dance Academy, teaching and performing all over North America and Europe.

Benny Ayala was born and raised in Portland Oregon. He is now a Co-Founder of the Lines Dance Academy in Portland and Hillsboro and has trained in Italy under Adolfo Indacochea and the Latin Soul Dancers. Benny is a world champion in the Team Duo division at the World Latin Dance Cup and Champion of La Negra in Spain with his brother Brandon Ayala.

Together they have been dancing for 3 years traveling around the world and dancing on some of the worlds biggest stages. They also recently opened up another studio in Seattle called Baila District, and are passionate about helping the Pacific Northwest Salsa & Bachata community grow.

Their style is best described as fast, flashy and detailed while still keeping the essence of mambo. Whether it's classy or fast and furious they love dancing and showing their passion for dancing at every opportunity.
