This membership is appropriate for children 6 years and older who are interested in personal growth through rigorous, fun martial arts practice. Students learn the etiquette and philosophy of bushido (the code of medieval samurai), practical self-defense, develop mental discipline and serenity, physical strength coordination and balance. This curriculum, which includes yoga-based stretching, striking, blocking and movement techniques and patterns, and contact free-fighting, prepares students for rank advancement. We emphasize safety, learning and fun. This membership entitles students to attend indoor, outdoor and online Seichou Karate classes. Students pay their membership fee on a monthly basis, but they enroll 3 times a year in our trimester system: January to May (5 month commitment), June to August (3 month commitment) and September to December (4 month commitment). Children's programs require a commitment to enroll for the current trimester. Once a child starts a trimester, he/she commits to remaining in the program until the end of that trimester.
