Morven and Sarena invite you to a day of meditative yoga, healing chant and the majestic sound of the gong.
We will be surrounded by quiet beauty in the natural surroundings of Shipham Village Hall, where we will spend the day exploring resonance.
It is said that the world began with a vibration, and from that original vibration emerged the dynamic qualities of the Universe. In the yoga tradition, we identify that primordial vibration as the sound of OM. Everything we can see, touch or even think has its own vibration and its own resonance.
Every person and object in the universe has its own unique resonant frequency, including our organs, bones and tissues. Through daily life, stressful events and our ‘monkey mind’ our resonance can be diminished. Subtle yoga, chant, and healing sound can bring us back to our true Resonant Self. Exploring Resonance will be an adventure into the resonance of our bodies, voices and minds, bringing us closer to our essential selves.
Through the morning yoga asana practice led by Morven we will discover the resonance of our cellular consciousness, with movement and sounding, silence and stillness.
Sarena will lead us to share the healing power of our voices, raising our vibration in simple but profound chant.
We will eat lunch together and have some time to enjoy Nature then, in the afternoon, Sarena and Morven will co-lead a restorative yoga session with the soothing, meditative sounds of the singing bowls.
The day will end with a sound journey spotlighting the majestic symphonic gong, as well as bansuri flute and voice. Then, silence.
