FOR CHILDREN AGES 3-5

Move over macaroni necklace, this Fine Art class introduces children to famous artists and artwork of all kinds; exposes them to names and art terms; gives them preliminary information about each work so when they see it again later in life, they will have a memory or a recollection of the artwork to build on. Each class, we take an artist’s work as our “inspiration” piece and learn how to recreate it. We learn how to talk about relating to the artwork, that’s the mindful part…

 And no early childhood class is complete without Yoga and song. The children have a place to explore their creativity often basing the work on the interests of the group. This unique art, yoga, and mindfulness program allows children access to the world of Fine Art. Each week, we delve into a specific masterwork where the children learn a little bit about the artist and mindfully experience the artwork together. The group learns how to recreate the masterpiece while practicing techniques that strengthen fine motor skills, directional brush strokes, and instruction. They learn to use proper art terminology all while discovering how art can inspire many aspects of life!

Drop-off is fine, but if you feel your need to stay, the front lounge is available.

Sessions can not be pro-rated.

We require preregistration for all of our classes, workshops and events.

CANCELLATION POLICY

• Regularly scheduled classes can be canceled up to 12 hours before they begin.
• Workshops and events can be canceled up to 48 hours before they begin.
