This is a foundational training is perfect for anyone interested in sharing the joy of yoga and mindfulness with children ages 2-8.  It will give practical, hands-on instruction covering breathwork, asana, and mindfulness. Students taking this training are well-prepared to teach these principles to the children in their lives.  This is a great training addition for preschool teachers and people who teach after-school programs. Previous teacher training certifications not required.  

About Co-Directors Sue Fried and Michelle Valentine:

Over the past 12 years, Susan has brought yoga and mindfulness to thousands of young people through Budding Buddhas.  In addition, she has trained hundreds of educators, social workers, and parents helping them bring yoga and mindfulness to the children in their lives.  Susan feels that children of all ages can understand the mind/body connection and she empowers students to take yoga techniques off the mat and into their everyday lives.

Michelle is a former preschool teacher, she feels right at home teaching in a classroom setting. She has taught yoga to hundreds of preschool children over the years and is looking forward to continue to share her love of yoga and mindfulness with children 4 and under.

Co-Directors of Budding Buddhas, Sue and Michelle met during their 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training at Yoga Haven in 2011.  They discovered they were both certified children's yoga instructors and shared a love for teaching kids. As their friendship grew, they decided to start a children's yoga business. Budding Buddhas Kids Yoga was established in 2012 so that they could combine their passion for yoga and mutual love for working with young children. 

We require preregistration for all of our classes, workshops and events.

CANCELLATION POLICY

• Regularly scheduled classes can be canceled up to 12 hours before they begin.
• Workshops and events can be canceled up to 48 hours before they begin.
