This class uses flowing movement, breath and a series of progressive stretching and strengthening exercises to build the core muscles, spinal mobility and full-body strength and flexibility. Drawing from diverse movement systems like yoga, tai chi, gymnastics and swimming, Gyrokinesis is a workout like no other that leaves you feeling refreshed, energized, strong and grounded.

This Level II class is appropriate for clients who have some exposure to Gyrotonic or Gyrokinesis exercise and/or intermediate or higher yoga or Pilates students who are comfortable picking up new choreography. Like classical Pilates, Gyrokinesis classes follow a prescribed order of exercises. Jessica picks a specific family of exercises or theme for class each week and uses the Tuesday Level II class to break down concepts in preparation for the Thursday Level III class.

About Jessica: Jessica is a Gyrotonic Master Trainer and licensed Gyrokinesis instructor, one of only a handful of teachers with these credentials in the Southeastern U.S. She has been teaching Pilates since 2000, Gyrotonic since 2004 and Gyrokinesis since 2005.
