<p>Teen Yoga Chakra Series - 7 Classes </p>
<p><strong>About the Program:</strong></p>
<p>This seven part yoga series will introduce you to the body’s subtle energy field known commonly as the seven chakras: collective energy the affect our body, mind, and spirit. Participants will gain a better understanding the energy related to each chakra and how this awareness can be cultivated through our yoga practice and by expressing our creative self.</p>
<p>Classes have been designed to support youth at the begin their yoga journey in an environment that is safe and allows for freedom of thought, diversity, and creativity</p>

<p>Week 1 – Let’s get Grounded – (root chakra)</p>
<p>Focus – the basics of yoga and Meditation</p>
<p>Activity – potting a plant</p>

<p>Week 2 - What’s in it for me (Sacral Chakra)</p>
<p>Focus – our relationship with ourselves</p>
<p>Activity – creating our own flag</p>

<p>Week 3 – Who is my Tribe? (Solar Plexus Chakra)</p>
<p>Focus – Our relationships with others</p>
<p>Activity – making a frame for our 5 x 7 picture</p>

<p>Week 4 – What’s in my Heart? (Heart Chakra)</p>
<p>Focus – defining the various types of love: for ourselves, our family and friends, pets and romantic love</p>

<p>Week 5 – Speaking our Truth (Throat Chakra)</p>
<p>Focus –kindness vs gossip. and how to deal with the impact of social media</p>

<p><strong>Guided and Created by Sandra Andreychuk </strong></p>
<p>Sandra has focused a large portion of her professional career on health, wellness and caring for other who have been impacted by illness. For over 20 years Sandra has dedicated her attention to bringing yoga and meditation into the process of recovery for her patients, health professionals and others who are looking to optimize their ability to heal. Sandra has studied the benefits of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, an approach to health that has been proven to reduce the effects of stress on the body and mind and to teach us how to become full conscious in our day to day activities; the essence of truly living yoga.</p>
<p>Sandra holds a Master degree in Science (Nursing) and a Master degree in Health Science (Medical Ethics). Sandra practiced as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for over 20 years and a Health Care Ethicist for 10 years. Sandra endeavours to support others in learning and living the benefits of yoga. Sandra recently completed her yoga teaching training program to deepen her practice and enhance her understanding of all that yoga has to offer in the journey to health, wellness, and healing</p>
