Through a blend of gentle movement, breathwork (pranayama), guided meditation, and reflective journaling, this workshop offers accessible tools you can return to again and again—on or off the mat.

Whether you're new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner, this experience will support you in:

Welcome to Tension Taming Thursdays with Laura!
 
This workshop is a 3-part evening workshop series of yoga for fascial release. Beginning with hips/glutes and low back in one session, then head/neck/shoulders, then both upper and lower body together. Start your weekend off right with less stress and more ease of movement!
 
We will use lots of props for both support and release, while exploring yoga postures that focus on the targeted area. There will also be time set aside for a juicy restorative pose!
 
Come and ease the transition between weekday and weekend with focus and clarity!

As we pass the Summer Solstice and the heat of Summer approaches it's scorching peak, nature totters on the fine balance between expanding and wilting. This is the season to come into our most expressive version of ourselves, to find and be
love and make manifest our desires whilst recognizing the need for equanimity,
discernment, balance and rest. Summer is the most potent season for love, connection and engagement with others and is associated with the Fire Element in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). In this workshop we will focus on rejuvenating and invigorating the Organs and Meridians (energy channels) of the Fire Element - the Heart and Perecardium - and the transformation of their negative emotional characteristics...Meanness and Jealousy to Love and Joy.
The Fire energy of Summer is an expression of maximum Yang. We will use yoga
asana, Qi Gong, meditation and journeying to embody the expansive nature of the
season.

Yoga Nidra, a guided meditative practice, can help you find a source of internal stability, clarity, and self-empowerment. It can ease tension and fatigue, calm the nervous system, and restore energy.

In this workshop you’ll:

  • Learn centering and relaxation techniques
  • Practice gentle asana stretches for joints and muscles
  • Explore yoga breathing techniques
  • Be guided through a complete Yoga Nidra practice

Yoga Nidra is practiced in a comfortable lying or seated position. No prior experience is needed — everyone is welcome. All registrants will receive recordings of these practices.
