Join us for a 60-minute walking tour of the Labor & Delivery and Postpartum units at Capital Health Medical Center - Hopewell. We will take you on the footpath that you will follow when you are in labor. This is an opportunity to see the facility and to have your questions answered by a Childbirth Educator and to gain a tangible understanding of your stay as a patient at Capital Health.

Space is strictly limited to six registrants and their respective support person. If you have more than one support person who would like to attend the tour, you will need to register them separately. If you have older children, we strongly encourage you to arrange for childcare while you're on your tour. Our units can become very busy, so for their safety and the safety of our newest babies, patients, and staff, we cannot accommodate children on maternity tours. Thank you for your cooperation!

This class is taught by an experienced, certified childbirth and parent educator. In this class, you will learn about the changes to expect and how to help your body heal during the postpartum period. There are many transitions that will occur in the days and weeks that follow after birth and this class will cover topics such as physical recovery, Cesarean recovery, postpartum mental health and wellness, fitness, and much more.

This class should be taken prenatally between 24-36 weeks and partners are encouraged to join!

One registration includes both the birthing parent and their partner or support person.

If there is a financial barrier that prevents you from enrolling in a class, please reach out to us directly to at childbirthed@capitalhealth.org. We are also accept FSA payment and are able to provide proof of completion for insurance reimbursement if needed.

This series is taught by an experienced, certified childbirth educator and consists of four weekly two-hour classes to prepare the expectant woman and her support person for the labor and birth experience. Includes: discussion of labor and birth, birth options, Lamaze techniques and other comfort measures, and childbirth videos. Plan to finish class within a month of your due date.

Classes are held in-person at Capital Health Medical Center – Hopewell.

One registration includes both the birthing parent and their partner or support person and light refreshments will be provided.
