The Spring Equinox is a powerful time of balance, renewal and new beginnings. Its when day and night stand in equal measure, inviting us to find harmony within ourselves and plant eh seeds for our intentions.
 
Immerse yourself in the healing vibrations of crystal singing bowls, gongs and chimes . This meditative experience will guide you into a state of deep relaxation, helping ease tension and promote inner peace.

Bring a mat. Any other personal items that will help you feel cozy and comfortable like a blanket, pillow, or eye pillow.

No experience is needed—just come as you are and let the waves of sound carry you into a state of deep relaxation and renewal.

Hiking Club - Don Edwards SF Bay Wildlife Refuge, Fremont

Meeting Place: Don Edwards San Franciso Bay National Wildlife Refuge, Fremont. Meet at the main parking lot, 2 Marshlands Road, Fremont. Once on Marshlands Road, go past the parking lot for the Visitor Center on your right. At the stop sign, turn left into the main parking lot. We’ll gather at the flagpole in that lot.

Distance: About a 3.0-mile figure-eight loop on dirt paths with a little bit of pavement, and an elevation gain of about 110 feet. The route is considered easy.

Explore the seasonal wetlands, tidal marshes, and salt ponds of the Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge. Family and friends are welcome! The route offers beautiful views and bountiful waterfowl. As a safe haven for vast numbers of birds traveling the Pacific Flyway, this park is a prime destination for bird watching. The area was also once a major site for salt production and the dikes and ponds that were used for this purpose can still be seen.

Please Bring:

Essential – Comfortable walking shoes, water, sweater/ jacket as needed. Temperatures can range from chilly to sunny so bring plenty of layers.

Recommended - A snack, sunscreen, hat, hiking poles if you like to use them

How to join: It’s included with your membership, so please sign up online or email or whats app us and we can add you in.

Facilities: Restrooms are at the start and porta potties on the hike.

Parking is free.

Other Information:

  • Restrooms: There are portable facilities about ¼ mile from the start and also near the end of the hike.
  • Members, family and friends are welcome. A kid-friendly route. Dogs are not permitted on the whole trail so leave your 4-legged friend at home for this one

After the hike: the Visitor Center is open 10:00am to 2:00pm and you may want
to drop by after we finish the hike to learn more about this interesting park.
