Self-Compassion Yoga Workshop

In today’s world, we have heard over and over again that we need to be more kind and gentler to ourselves and practice more self-care. It seems though, that when we do practice self-care, it only temporarily supports us in feeling good. The research that has been done on the effects of learning, and understanding self-compassion can actually elevate and change one’s attitude towards self. When we can think more compassionately about ourselves, the actions we do with our self-care is more meaningful!

This workshop will introduce you to what Self-Compassion is. An overview of the 3 components of self-compassion to include: Self Kindness vs. Self-Judgment; Common Humanity vs. Isolation; Mindfulness vs. Over Identification.

You can expect 4 components within the workshop series to include, but not limited to: Dharma Talk; Meditation; Asana; and Breath work. These components may not be necessarily be in this order dependent on the practice I teach. The yoga within this class will be Hatha style for a slow flow.
