Did you know the labyrinth at Heartwood is an 11 circuit path, the most traditional design and it is a replication of the Chartres cathedral labyrinth in France? A labyrinth offers a mindful meditative walk because, unlike a maze, a labyrinth is not a puzzle to figure out, but a pattern reflective of sacred geometry that inspires and invokes connection. What better way to ring in the new year than through a gentle yoga and sound bath experience and a mindful walk that invites us to consider the path of our lives, where we have been and where we are going?
Learn all about the labyrinth, from the history to the ceremony of walking the path for reflection and insight with Ginny and David Shaddock, owners of Heartwood and founders of our labyrinth. This workshop includes a gentle yoga class, walking the labyrinth by candlelight as evening rolls in, journaling the labyrinth, and an introduction to the labyrinth as a tool for self discovery and stress relief. This workshop is held later in the day so we can walk the labyrinth by candlelight, inspired by the stars and the transformational element of fire in our beautiful labyrinth ceremony designed to set intentions and clear our heart and mind as we ring in the New Year.
