A gentle, strength-based class, Healthy Spine and Core Restore Yoga works therapeutically to restore core fitness, improve posture and flexibility, and relieve back strain. Emphasizing deep breathing, stress relief and healing. Done entirely while lying down. Safe and effective, to make you stronger and feel better. To participate you must be able to get down onto the ground with no or minimal assistance, and be able to hold yourself upright in a seated position without support. Chair Yoga is a supported healing class done entirely from any type of chair. This class emphasizes breath work, building a healing focus and meditation to promote a greater sense of well-being and stress relief. Practice a variety of stretching and strengthening poses designed to increase circulation and strength so your movement is more stable. Poses are seated or reclined and practiced very slowly, so there is time to move without rush. Doctor’s medical release highly encouraged.

Bio - Erik Iversen has been a practitioner of Hellerwork Structural Integration since
1986. Over those years educating and he has touched over ten thousand people.
In 1981 he met Gabrielle Roth and started practicing 5Rhythms. In 1989 he co-
founded the first teacher training . This movement mediation practice has now
400 teachers in 30 countries. Erik has been a foundational teacher of
embodiment and moving anatomy at the last 3 trainings. He also recently
completed the Leadership and Transformation 2 year course at the Hendricks

YAMUNA BODY ROLLING (YBR) is a self-fixing, self-maintaining, therapeutic method that produces profound changes in the body from the very first session. It is like a deep-tissue massage, a workout and a chiropractic adjustment all rolled into one! Like yoga, it must be experienced to understand.

 

In this hands-on workshop, you will learn the YBR principles and perform multiple YBR routines, which will provide you with your own self-practice. Using specially designed balls, and the dynamic power of your own body weight, you will roll from bone to tendon to muscle, relieving stress and tension, re-aligning your body, and helping to heal and prevent pain and injury.

Prana Vidya, literally ‘the science of life force’ has been a part of every spiritual tradition since their inception. In this practice, we access energy latent in the individual and apply it towards creating healing effects in mind, body and spirit. From the teachings of Swami Satyananda Saraswati, a perfected master, we explore meditation techniques and tools for influencing and directing prana towards healing effects in the body.
 
In this workshop we will
• Engage in mindfulness based movement exercises, including techniques from Feldenkrais, that awaken our perception and receptive states.
• Learn how to feel the body to heal the body.
• Experience direct guided meditation within the framework and principles of yoga Nidra specifically directed to healing.
• Use guided meditations and relaxation techniques to awaken prana and guide prana with healing intentionality to various conditions to create a healing effect in mind and body
