Prana Vidya, literally ‘the science of life force’ has been a part of every spiritual tradition since their inception. In this practice, we access energy latent in the individual and apply it towards creating healing effects in mind, body and spirit. From the teachings of Swami Satyananda Saraswati, a perfected master, we explore meditation techniques and tools for influencing and directing prana towards healing effects in the body.
 
In this workshop we will
• Engage in mindfulness based movement exercises, including techniques from Feldenkrais, that awaken our perception and receptive states.
• Learn how to feel the body to heal the body.
• Experience direct guided meditation within the framework and principles of yoga Nidra specifically directed to healing.
• Use guided meditations and relaxation techniques to awaken prana and guide prana with healing intentionality to various conditions to create a healing effect in mind and body
 
Prada Vidya is a practice that leaves you rejuvenated, decompressed, and relieved of the pressures that block full and fluid movement of prana and health in the body.

Chair Yoga is a supported healing class done entirely from any type of chair. This class emphasizes breath work, building a healing focus and meditation to promote a greater sense of well-being and stress relief. Practice a variety of stretching and strengthening poses designed to increase circulation and strength so your movement is more stable. A gentle, strength-based class, Healthy Spine and Core Restore Yoga works therapeutically to restore core fitness, improve posture and flexibility, and relieve back strain. Emphasizing deep breathing, stress relief and healing. Done entirely while lying down. Safe and effective, to make you stronger and feel better. To participate you must be able to get down onto the ground with no or minimal assistance, and be able to hold yourself upright in a seated position without support.
