Chair Yoga is a supported healing class done entirely from any type of chair. This class emphasizes breath work, building a healing focus and meditation to promote a greater sense of well-being and stress relief. Practice a variety of stretching and strengthening poses designed to increase circulation and strength so your movement is more stable. Poses are seated or reclined and practiced very slowly, so there is time to move without rush. Doctor’s medical release highly encouraged.

A gentle, strength-based class, Healthy Spine and Core Restore Yoga works therapeutically to restore core fitness, improve posture and flexibility, and relieve back strain. Emphasizing deep breathing, stress relief and healing. Done entirely while lying down. Safe and effective, to make you stronger and feel better. To participate you must be able to get down onto the ground with no or minimal assistance, and be able to hold yourself upright in a seated position without support. Doctor’s medical release highly encouraged.

Bio: Brigitte Yancy began practicing meditation on and off in 2002 and has been a regular practitioner since 2008. She has been teaching weekly Beginning and Intermediate Meditation classes since 2009 and has help hundreds of students to not only learn to meditate, but to use meditation to move through some of life's most difficult times such as cancer diagnosis and treatment, the loss of a spouse or loved one and PTSD. Brigitte has turned to meditation to help her through the loss of both of her parents and for treatment for anxiety and panic disorders. She is a teacher on staff at Inner Vision and often incorporates meditative themes into her classes.
