Yoga for Scoliosis Series: Focus on Curve Patterns

Join Susan Elena for an in-depth exploration of the major structural curve patterns and the issues associated with them. We will look at one curve in each session and we will step through a sequence to address the common issues associated with it. Students are welcome to attend one session or all three.
A home practice will be given for each curve pattern and access to the video will be for 2 weeks

April 10: Thoracic Curves: This session is appropraite for those with Left or Right Thoracic Curves and Left or Right Thoraco-Lumbar Curves even if you also have a lumbar curve. In this session, common misalignments and issues of the thoracic spine will be addressed. How the neck and shoulders are affected, how to safely create more opening and strength.
May 8: Lumbar Curves: This session is appropraite for those with Left or Right Lumbar Curves or Left or Right Thoraco-Lumbar Curves even if you also have a thoracic curve. In this session, common misalignments and issues of the lumbar spine will be addressed. How the hips, SI joint and PSOAS are affected, how to safely create more length and strengthen the abdominals.
June 12: Double Curves: This session is appropriate for those with Left or Right Thoracic /Right or Left Lumbar Curves or Left or those with “C” - Right Thoraco-Lumbar Curves. We will address how the whole body is affected by these lateral curves in both the thoracic and lumbar areas. How to find balance and overall length in the spine to reduce pain. Like previous sessions, common misalignments and issues will be addressed.
